ROGERS MISSION STATEMENT

Will Rogers Middle School, Bayside Academy, prides itself in fostering in our educational community the desire for (1) life-long learning and (2) ongoing preparation for responsible citizenship in a democratic nation and a culturally diverse world.

To promote college and career readiness, we emphasize high standards in academic achievement and conduct. We are committed to providing a safe learning environment accompanied by a rigorous, integrated curriculum based on the Common Core standards and powerful, student-centered instruction. Students will develop self-discipline and individual responsibility.

To accomplish our mission, we strongly believe in the power of the cooperative responsibility of parents, students, teachers, administrators, and support staff. It is the energy and enthusiasm springing from this cooperation that enhances students’ self-esteem and produces school-wide success.

Parents, teachers and administrators collaboratively created this Code to promote the essential elements of productive citizenship (academic achievement and excellence, social responsibility and accountability)
